Special valuation certificate
You can have a “special valuation certificate” drafted in order to increase the airline guarantee in case of damage, delay or loss.
The shipment rate then becomes the normal shipment fee plus 5% of the declared value.
Valuable items
Valuable items (i.e., pearl nuclei, jewelry, currency,) above 100 000 XPF must be declared and insured by the sender by making a “special valuation certificate”.
Air Tahiti retains the right to refuse these shipments if it is estimated that the declared value is superior to the guarantees the airline can offer.
