Coronavirus: Information for travelers

French Polynesia is in general confinement since midnight March 20, 2020.

FLIGHTS INFORMATIONS

 
FLIGHTS IN FRENCH POLYNESIA
 
Given the current lockdown situation, our regular flights to/from the islands are canceled and further cancellation will follow the lockdown periods as decided by the relevant authorities.
 
Therefore, reservations for passengers who plan to travel during this period will be automatically canceled.
 
Whatsmore, we invite travelers wishing to modify ou reschedule their trip to contact us as soon as the lockdown is lifted, to organize their future trip. For this purpose, please keep your ticket and / or booking number available.
 
Non-resident travelers currently being in French Polynesia and having special needs are invited to contact the Tourism office of our country at (+689) 40 50 88 62.
 
RAROTONGA FLIGHTS
 
Flights to Rarotonga are currently suspended, following a decision of Cook Islands government.
 

Modifications

 
Conditions below cancel and replace previous conditions.
 
If you made your reservation or purchased your ticket through a travel agency other than Air Tahiti, please contact your travel agent for assistance with making any changes to your reservation.
 
If you booked with us directly, please make sure you have your booking reference number or ticket number with you, each time you contact us.
 
YOUR FLIGHT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
 
  • We invite you to contact us as soon as the flights operate again, through our contact form. You can change your flight without any fee and any difference in fare, as long as you travel within 12 months following the ticket issuance date.
 
  • If you don't know your date of travel yet, a flight credit (called an EMD) will be issued with a validity of 12 months. Conditions of travel will be identical to the above. Your initial booking will be cancelled and a new booking reference number will be given to you once the new reservation is made.
 
YOUR FLIGHT IS CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED
 
  • If the new flight does not suit your needs, we invite you to contact us through our contact form. You can change your flight without any fee and any difference in fare, as long as you travel within 12 months following the ticket issuance date.

FOR FLIGHT SCHEDULED UNTIL JULY 31, 2020 AND IF ALL OF THE FLIGHTS INCLUDED IN YOUR RESERVATION ARE STILL OPERATING
 
If your ticket is issued before April 10 and for dates of travel included between the flights restarting operation date  and July 31, 2020: 
 
If you wish not to travel anymore on flights operating before July 31, or if you wish to modify those flights, it is imperative that you contact Air Tahiti, using our contact form as follows:
 
  • For flights in May: please contact us priori to April 20 
  • For flights in June: please contact us priori to May 15
  • For flights in July: please contact us priori to June 15 
 
You can modify your flights in accordance with the conditions linked to your fare. Fees may apply.
