For some islands, the airport is away from the main island or village.

In Bora Bora, Air Tahiti, through Bora Bora Navettes, is offering a shuttle boat service between the airport, located on a motu (islet), and Vaitape village. Some hotels have their own shuttle boats. More information here.

In Nuku Hiva (Marquesas islands), transportation from the airport to the main village is done by a few land operators.
