Travelling with Air Tahiti: which ID documents do you need to present ?
To enjoy a smooth trip with Air Tahiti, you must present a valid identity document at every stage of your journey. This requirement also applies to any children travelling with you.
Mandatory presentation of a valid ID from 1 January 2026
In accordance with the ministerial decree of 11 September 2013, presenting a valid identity document will become mandatory starting 1 January 2026. Accepted documents include:
- Passport
- National Identity Card
- Driver’s licence
- Residency permit
Please plan ahead by checking the validity of your ID document before you travel
Additional documents that may be required
Depending on your situation or the nature of your journey, you may be asked to provide additional documents, such as:

Veterinary or phytosanitary documents for transporting animals or plants

Medical certificates, especially if you are pregnant or travelling with a respiratory-assistance device, syringes, or any other medical equipment
