Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti strengthen their partnership to simplify travelling towards the islands of Tahiti

Traveling to Tahiti and its islands is about to become even easier and more seamless.

Polynesian airlines Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti announce the signing of a new codeshare agreement, marking an important step in their commercial cooperation.

An agreement that benefits travelers

Signed on December 22, 2025, this agreement will take effect for reservations and travel starting June 2, 2026. It will allow Air Tahiti Nui, an international airline, to place its flight code on certain routes operated by Air Tahiti, the inter-island airline.

For travelers, the benefit is immediate: the ability to book a single ticket for their entire journey, from an international destination (Europe, United States, etc.) to iconic Pacific islands, with simplified connections.

Bora Bora and Rarotonga now accessible on a single ticket

Initially, the agreement will cover two major destinations:

Bora Bora, with up to 6 flights per day

Rarotonga (Cook Islands), with 2 flights per week

Thanks to this network connection, Air Tahiti Nui passengers will be able to reach these final destinations more easily, while enjoying a smoother and better coordinated travel experience.

Modern and complementary fleets

Air Tahiti Nui operates all of its long-haul flights aboard Boeing 787-9 “Tahitian Dreamliner” aircraft, renowned for their comfort and environmental performance.
Air Tahiti, for its part, operates inter-island routes with ATR 72 and ATR 42 aircraft, currently offering economy and premium classes. From December 2026, a new “all business” offering will enhance the passenger experience.

A partnership set to grow

For the leaders of both airlines, this agreement is a continuation of the close collaboration that began several years ago. By connecting their networks, Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti aim to offer an increasingly attractive joint service, with new routes to come.

Beyond simplifying travel, this partnership aims to improve the quality of service offered to travelers in the long term, while contributing to the international reputation of Tahiti and its islands.

This marks a new chapter for the two Polynesian airlines, united by a common ambition: to make travel to the Pacific even more accessible, seamless, and memorable.
