Fares and commissions -Air Tahiti fares

Air Tahiti offers three types of fare: one-way and return fares, and Pass fares. Here you will find the terms and conditions for each fare. These terms and conditions are subject to amendment without notice.

One-way and return fares are displayed and available for automatic pricing on your GDS.

One way fares: who are they for?

Adults (12 years old and over)
Children (2 to 11 years)
Infants (under 2 years)

Return fares: who are they for?

Adults (12 years old and over) only

Booking class

Y or S (23 kg - 50 lb) or Z (46 kg - 100 lb).

Applicability

  • One-way fare on the date of travel. Where a booking contains a series of one-way tickets over different seasons, the seasonal component must be applied to each one-way fare.
  • For return tickets, the departure date determines the applicable fare. Return fares are valid for Tahiti-island-Tahiti journeys only.
  • Fares are subject to modification without notice.
  • The fares displayed do not include taxes. Taxes must be added at the time of issuing.
  • Taxes do not apply to infant fares.

Connecting flights

In the case of connecting flights involving a change of aircraft (i.e. two different flight numbers), e.g. PPT-MAU via BOB, in accordance with the regulations, the PF tax for each island (departure and transfer) must be applied.
E.g. PPT-MAU via BOB = PF tax for PPT + PF tax for BOB + FR tax for PPT + YQ for PPT-MAU

Commissions

Commission is based on the fare not including taxes. If you belong to the ARC or to a BSP to which Air Tahiti is affiliated, click here to find out what commission rates apply.

Note 1

Some flights have seasonal fares. The departure date determines the applicable seasonal fare.

Note 2

Fares must be displayed in XPF in the "Fare" field of the ticket, with an equivalent "Fare paid" in your billing currency.

Note 3

Z fares cannot be combined with a Y or S fare as part of the same itinerary.

Fare codes

The codes Y / YRT or S / SRT or Z / ZRT should be used, unless there is a high-season fare (YH / YHRT, SH / SHRT, ZH / ZHRT).

Child and infant fares

Return fares are not applicable to children or infants. An additional fare should be applied.

Refund

When a refund is permitted, the following terms and conditions apply:

  • € 50/XPF 6 000 per coupon (€25 €/XPF3,000 for a child)
  • Refunds for tickets issued for infants (passengers under 2 years old) are not subject to fees.

Applicability
  • Fares are different according to the chosen booking class and seasonality. To find out, please refer to the automatic pricing.
  • The fares displayed do not include taxes. Taxes and other surcharges must be added at the time of issuance.
  • Fares are subject to modification without notice.
Taxes
  • From Tahiti to Rarotonga: apply the PF and FR taxes for passengers over 2 years old (children and adults) only.
  • From Rarotonga to Tahiti: apply the QE taxes for passengers over 12 years old (adults) only.
  • These taxes must be collected and added to the fare without taxes at the time of issuance.
  • To find out the taxes amount, please refer to your booking system.
  • Taxes do not apply to infant fare.
Child and
infant fares
  • Child fare (2 to under 12 years) is equivalent to about 75% of adult fare without taxes.
  • The infant fare (under 2 years) is about 10% of adult fare without taxes.
  • To know the conversion rates from NZD to XPF, refer to your booking system.
  • Unaccompanied minors (UM) are accepted on Rarotonga flights by application of the Air Tahiti UM procedure. For more information, click here.
Fares conditions
  • OPEN ticket issuance is not allowed.
  • The length of stay is 12 months from the date of the first flight.
  • Waiting list booking is not accepted for these fares.
  • OPEN ticket issuance is not allowed.
  • The length of stay is 6 months from the date of the first flight.

Note
  • Fares must be displayed in the country of departure currency :
    • For Tahiti/Rarotonga and Tahiti/Rarotonga/Tahiti tickets, the fare must be in XPF.
    • For Rarotonga/Tahiti and Rarotonga/Tahiti/Rarotonga tickets, the fare must be in NZD.
  • Fares must be displayed in XPF or NZD, according to the country departure, in the field "Fare box" of the ticket, with an equivalent "Equiv. Fare paid box" in your own currency.
Baggage allowance
  • 23kg (50 lb).
  • Over 23kg, excess baggage are billed at the current rates.
  • The 46kg (100 lb) baggage allowance is not available on Rarotonga flights.
  • No baggage allowance for infant.
