Putting your cargo in storage

Fret - Produits et services - Stockage

General information

In Tahiti, goods with no specific storage requirements are stored free of charge, as follows :

  • At the departure : the first day before departure is free
  • At the arrival : the first day after arrival is free

After one day, a storage fee of XPF 15/kg per day will be charged, with a minimum fee of XPF 500 per day per AWB.
You are therefore advised to ask the recipient of the goods to collect them as quickly as possible.
Unclaimed items will be stored for one year. After that, they will be donated to charity.

On islands other than Tahiti, please phone the Air Tahiti airport on your island for information, as some airports do not have storage space.

Chilled and frozen storage

The Cargo Service at Tahiti-Faa'a Airport offers chilled and frozen storage facilities for outgoing and incoming goods.
To find out whether there is enough space for your goods, please contact the Cargo Service in advance.

For cargo departing from Tahiti, the following storage fees apply:

  • Chilled storage: XPF 30/kg, with a minimum fee of XPF 1 000
  • Frozen storage: XPF 50/kg, with a minimum fee of XPF 1 000.

For cargo arriving in Tahiti, the following storage fees apply:

  • Chilled storage: Free for the first three hours, then XPF 30/kg per day, with a minimum fee of XPF 1 000/day.
  • Frozen storage: Free for the first three hours, then XPF 50/kg per day, with a minimum fee of XPF 1 000/day.

For logistical reasons, Air Tahiti cannot guarantee cold-chain continuity through to the delivery of the item to the customer.
You are therefore advised to ask the recipient of the goods to collect them as quickly as possible.
